All on 4 Procedure

Older woman discussing her x-ray and all on 4 with her dentist from Summerbrook Dental Group in Aurora, CODental implants have become a wide-spread gold-standard for replacing missing teeth. If you are missing an entire row of teeth, a traditional dental implant may be too intensive for you. Therefore, the All-on-4 implant has become a new and highly recommended procedure for those missing teeth on the entire upper or lower jaw. The All-on-4 procedure uses four implants to place an entire set of teeth in your mouth. If this sounds like a surgery you are interested in getting, our staff at Summerbrook Dental Group can help provide you with the state-of-the-art care you need.

What Is an All-on-4 Procedure?

An All-on-4 procedure has become the first same-day dental implant treatment on the market. Our staff will first take a 3D scan of your teeth to make the perfect set of dentures for your mouth. After all of the dimensions have been configured, the teeth are made in our office and only take 30 to 45 minutes to procure. This is different from other dental implants since most require an off-site lab to make the dentures for you, which can take up to two weeks to complete.

While your teeth are being created, our staff will begin to place four implants in your gums that will be used as the structural support for the dentures. However, you may require an additional one or two implants depending on the structure of your mouth and the overall health of your gums. The implants are created of titanium, which is biocompatible. This means your body will not reject the implants, significantly reducing any complications associated with surgery. Over several weeks, the implants will fuse with your natural bone, which will provide you with a structurally-sound set of teeth. Compared to traditional dentures, the All-on-4 set of teeth will be much more secure and provide the same stability as natural teeth.

What Are the Benefits of All-on-4?

An All-on-4 procedure is a revolutionary dental procedure that will offer you a wide range of benefits. You will require only one visit to our office, compared to the two visits required for dentures or dental implants. A typical dental implant requires a few weeks between getting the titanium implants and getting the caps placed on them to allow the implants time to fuse to the bone. This procedure can be done sooner and quicker, so you will not have to go without teeth for a prolonged period. All-on-4 treatment is also much cheaper than the alternatives, which means less money out-of-pocket for the entire procedure or a copay through insurance.

An All-on-4 procedure also has the benefit of preserving the density of your bones by giving it structurally sound implants. When an implant is placed in the bone, it naturally fuses, giving the bone purpose. Without a purpose, your bone will begin melting and deteriorating away as your body does not see a need for it. The procedure will provide you with a possible lifetime guarantee with proper maintenance and care. It is custom fitted, which helps to keep it both secure and comfortable so you will not even notice it is there. Best of all, it provides you with a natural-looking aesthetic, so nobody will know you have an implant in your mouth.

All-on-4 treatment is one of the only procedures that provide you with same-day teeth. If this is something that interests you, please give our staff at Summerbrook Dental Group a call today at 720-882-9988 to schedule an appointment.
