What Does an All-on-4 Treatment Involve?

What Is the Process Like?
During the procedure, we will need to remove the remaining teeth that will impede us from attaching the new set of teeth. We will also cut any infected gum tissue if there is any. After cleaning the area, we will numb it in order to safely place the implants. We will suture the incisions closed, and then attach a temporary bridge to them, so we can restore your smile in just a single visit. The process is fairly simple, and it does not take more than a few hours to complete.
Due to the nature of the surgery, you can expect to recover from it in a matter of two weeks. Commonly, the first days of recovery involve difficulty swallowing, and minimal bleeding and soreness. You may alleviate this discomfort with over-the-counter medications. We may also prescribe patients with antibiotics to help avoid any risk of infections. The osseointegration process may take different periods of time for each person, but we will follow its progress closely.
